The project
Formamind Accessibility
Formamind Accessibility is a widget built to make web accessibility compliance easy for everyone. We created it in response to the European Accessibility Act, which came into force in June 2025, introducing new legal obligations for digital accessibility across Europe. Our goal was to develop a reliable, lightweight, and simple tool that can be integrated into any website within minutes.
The challenge
Why we built it
Most accessibility widgets on the market are slow, heavy, or incompatible with several browsers. Popular tools like UserWay fail to handle the Web Speech API properly on browsers such as Brave or Firefox, resulting in limited accessibility support. We wanted to create a solution that works everywhere, performs flawlessly, and is built on a modern, minimalistic architecture while staying easy to maintain and expand.
Our approach
Lightweight and reliable
We built the widget using Preact to ensure minimal footprint and optimal performance. It includes over 32 accessibility functionalities and supports 42 languages. Each feature was designed with real-world browser differences in mind, guaranteeing compatibility across Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Brave, and others. The architecture is modular, allowing us to easily add new tools and improve existing ones without affecting performance.
The solution
A complete SaaS system
Formamind Accessibility is a fully automated SaaS platform. Users can purchase a plan directly from our website through a Stripe-based payment system. Once purchased, they can access their dashboard, customize the widget’s design, manage billing, and view usage data. Authentication uses passwordless magic links for better security and convenience. The entire infrastructure is powered by Cloudflare Workers, leveraging Cloudflare’s global CDN and cache to deliver fast, consistent performance worldwide.

The widget is continuously maintained, tested, and improved by our accessibility and legal experts. Its modular structure allows us to roll out new accessibility features quickly and adapt to changing standards. We are expanding our monitoring and analytics tools to give clients more insights into how their users interact with accessibility features, ensuring the widget remains one of the fastest and most reliable solutions available.
